Charles Woodson Returns to the Raiders

Will Charles Woodson drastically change the Raiders' playoff chances? Not likely, but he might sell a few more tickets.

The defensive back signed a one-year contract with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, reuniting him with the team that selected him in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft. His deal is worth $4.3 Million.Woodson was released by the Packers in February  and recently met with the Denver Broncos who offered him a oontradct. Instead, Woodson chose the Raiders, a franchise deep in a rebuilding period. Woodson's unlikely to get another ring, but he has the opportunity to finish out his career playing for a team and fan base that truly wanted him back.

He was a standout cornerback for the Raiders from 1998 to 2005. Woodson was selected to four Pro Bowls during his eight seasons with the Raiders and played a pivotal role in their making it to the Super Bowl in the 2002 season..Woodson is a seven-time All-Pro who won NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors with the Green Bay Packers in 2009.  Wodson is a Heisman Trophy winner from Michigan in 1998.
