LaDainian Tramayne Tomlinson (born June 23, 1979) is a former American football running back who played in the NFL for eleven seasons. He played college football for Texas Christian University (TCU). He played for the San Diego Chargers from 2001-2009 and then spent two seasons with the New York Jets before retiring June 18, 2012 as a Charger. Tomlinson, often referred to by his initials, L. T., was selected to five Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro six times. Tomlinson won two rushing titles, in 2006 and 2007, and ranks fifth in career rushing yards. During the 2006 NFL season, he set several records and received numerous honors and awards including the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award and Associated Press' Offensive Player of the Year Award.
